Gunshots fired in ‘targeted attack’ at Wath House

Police were called to a property on Kemble Martin Way, Wath after a “football-sized hole” was left in the window of a property last Sunday (May 12) at 10.49pm.

A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Police said: “It is believed that offenders were in a small vehicle that slowed down as it passed the targeted house, and discharged their firearm, leaving a football-sized hole in the window.”

“No-one was injured.”

“We would like to reassure the community that there is no information to suggest that there is any threat to the wider community and there have not been any further incidents.” 

Police would like to speak to witnesses or anyone with information. Call 101 quoting incident number 933 of May 12 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
