Police evacuated an office in the Town Centre this morning (3rd April) after concerns were raised over a suspicious package within an office.
A Police spokesperson said that they responded to reports of a suspicious package at an office building in Wellgate at around 11.30am this morning.
A number of local business evacuated building as a precaution whilst a police cordon was put in place.
“Officers conducted a search of the building and the package has been assessed as non-suspicious.” the spokesperson added.
