Police were called to Deepdale Woods in Kimberworth after four shotguns were found by a member of the public.
Police were called to Deepdale Woods off South Street, Kimberworth at around 6:30pm on the 18th April after a member of the public found a bag which contained four shotguns.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “officers from the force’s firearms support group and CSI attended to make the weapons safe and remove them from the scene.”
“Enquiries and forensic examination are ongoing.”
