Police seized over 100 cannabis plants after executing a drugs warrant in Broom on Saturday

Police officers from Rotherham North Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant on Oakwood Drive on Saturday (13th April) after receiving a tip off from members of the local community.

Two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested by police on suspicion of producing cannabis after police discovered five rooms had been converted in to cannabis growing facilities.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said ”The warrant is following intelligence gathered from the local community and our Police Community Support Officers working together”
