Firefighters were called to a derelict town centre pub after reports that the upstairs and roof were on fire.
Fire crews were called to the derelict town centre pub, Old Mason Arms after the upstairs and roofing area was discovered alight.
A fire service spokesperson said that four fire crews were called at 3.50am this morning and used an aerial platform to tackle the fire.
The crews left the scene at 8.45am and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire, the spokesperson added.
