Thieves steal cigarettes in Dinnington ram raid

Police in Dinnington are investigating a raid in which a quantity of cigarettes were stolen from a Tesco store.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said “it is believed that the offenders used a vehicle to gain access to the store before taking a quantity of cigarettes

The Undergate Road store was raided at 1.16am on Monday (4th March).

The spokesperson added “there have been no arrests made at this time and enquiries are ongoing”

In October 2018 thieves drove through front doors at the same store stealing phones, computer games and cigarettes leaving a vehicle inside the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 35 of the 4th March or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
