Firefighters from Rotherham Station were called to Dalton this morning to reports of a fire on waste ground.
Firefighters were called to a field off Arundel Avenue in the Dalton at around 6:10am this morning (March 30th)
Upon arrival crews discovered a fire caused by the burning of wire cable, a spokesperson confirmed.
The crews left the scene shortly after at 10:20am. Crews from Rotherham station attended the scene before leaving shortly afterwards at 6:22am.
