Police called after car ‘set on fire’ after Whiston crash

Police are making enquiries after a car collided with a parked car and the wall of a house before being ‘set on fire’ on Pleasley Road in Whiston.

Police were called at 5.13am yesterday morning (12 February) after it was reported that a car had been in collision with an unoccupied parked car and the wall of a house on Pleasley Road.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said “It is believed the car was then set alight deliberately. Enquires are ongoing.”
