A man is in hospital in a critical condition after a โserious assaultโ close to a Masbrough roundabout.
Emergency services were called to Midland Road at the junction with Garden Street, Masbrough,ย at 6.25pm yesterday following reports that a man had been injured.
South Yorkshire Police said that โan assessment of his injuries at hospital indicated that the man had beenย seriously assaulted.โ
โThe man, believed to be in his 30s, remains in hospital in a critical condition.โ
Midland Road remains closed this morning while investigations take place and officers carry out enquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
