An investigation is underway after a 59-year-old man was assaulted outside a garage in Maltby yesterday (13th February)
Police said that the 59-year-old victim was assaulted at around 1.10pm on the forecourt of Pitstop Autocentre on Blyth Road.
The masked suspect threatened the victim with a weapon described as a ‘combat knife’.
A police spokesperson said “the 59-year-old suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident and was understandably left incredibly shaken”
“The offender left on foot shortly after, running into the woods behind the garage.”
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the attacker and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 425 of February 13.
