Aldwarke Road closed after lorry hits bridge

Aldwarke Road is currently closed after a lorry has hit a bridge causing damage.

Pictures from the scene show bricks on the floor leaving a small gap in the front of the bridge.

First South Yorkshire have tweeted advising that a number of bus routes are currently delayed advising no diversions are currently planned.

Police have advised that traffic is building up and recommend that drivers avoid the area if possible.
