Two men have appeared before court charged in connection to firearms offences after shots were allegedly fired at a car in Rawmarsh on Sunday (30th December).
Kyle Stephenson (32) of Ash View, Greasbrough, appeared before the court yesterday (2nd January) charged with possession of a pump action shotgun. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday 30 January.
Nathan Smedley (27) of Ingshead Avenue, Rawmarsh, also appeared before the court today (3rd January) charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday 31 January.
South Yorkshire Police said that the charges are related to reports of shots being fired towards a vehicle, which was stationary in the area of Ash Grove, Rawmarsh at around 9.45pm on Sunday 30 December.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
