A Police Investigation has been launched after a girl (16) was sexually assaulted near Brinsworth
At around 9pm on Saturday 29 December it was reported that the girl, who was walking through the Phoenix Golf Course near to Grange Lane was approached from behind by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.
The man, described as wearing dark blue ripped jeans, a light blue denim jacket and brown smart shoes.
Investigating Officer PC Richard Stump appealed for anyone with any information to get in touch “A thorough investigation is underway and at this stage we are treating this as an isolated incident.”
“We are working with the victim and her family to offer them support and reassurance.”
