Man left seriously injured in Rotherham collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a single car collision which has left a a 39-year-old man with serious injuries. 

At around 8.05pm on Saturday night (15 December), a silver Mini Cooper travelling along Sheffield Road, away from Tinsley towards Rotherham collided with a wall close to Ickles Viaduct. 

The 39-year-old man driving the car was taken to hospital, where he currently remains, with serious injuries. 

Police want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision occurring.
