Firefighters called to derelict club fire in Rawmarsh

SIX Fire crews were called a derelict club on Willowgarth in Rawmarsh in the early hours of this morning (24th December)

Crews from Rotherham, Dearne, Maltby, Edlington, Parkway and Elm Lane stations were called to the blaze at 12:30am.

Upon arrival crews found two floors of the building well alight.

Crews equipped with breathing apparatus used main jets to fight the fire.

Three fire engines remain at the scene this morning.

A spokesperson from South Yorkshire and Rescue said “An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place once it is completely out.”
