POLICE this evening responded to reports of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the M1 between J35 Thorpe Hesley and J34 at Meadowhall.
A Temporary 20 MPH Speed Limit was put in place whilst Police lead a search for the Vehicle.
Highways England have since updated and said that “‘@SYPOperations have made an extensive search. No vehicle was found. We need such low speeds as a precaution. We need to take every measure possible to protect people in the correct direction. Thanks for your patience during rolling road block”
