Laughton Co-Op closed after thieves ‘explode’ Cash Machine

A Laughton Common Co-Op was closed this morning after thieves reportedly ‘exploded’ a cash-machine.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said that Police were called at 3:45am this morning, Wednesday 18th July.
It’s believed that men dressed in dark clothing used equipment to cut through the stores roller shutters before making a getaway driving a dark coloured BMW.
The thieves made off with a substantial amount of cash.
The store on Outgang Lane was cordoned off as a forensic and CCTV examination was carried out.

A number of Local residents have described hearing a ‘loud bang’ as the events unfolded at the store.
