A Laughton Common Co-Op was closed this morning after thieves reportedly โexplodedโ a cash-machine.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said that Police were called at 3:45am this morning, Wednesday 18th July.
Itโs believed that men dressed in dark clothingย used equipment to cut through the stores roller shutters before making a getawayย driving a dark coloured BMW.
The thieves made off with a substantial amount of cash.
The store on Outgang Lane was cordoned off as a forensic and CCTV examination was carried out.
A number of Local residents have described hearing a โloud bangโ as the events unfolded at the store.
